Default Trixon Snare Drums

I have been in contact with the Trixon drum company and have been offered special pricing for their snares. I just want to get some opinions on if this is worth it. I like the 3rd snare, I always wanted one to experiment with. But I'd like a little advice first.

Snare #1 - $182

Snare #2 - $92

Snare #3 - $94

I hear these are cheap made Chinese drums that are made in violation of the Trixon drum TM, (Basically fake knock offs) real Trixon drums are made in Germany, so I hear.

They did start in Germany. Then the company stopped producing then came back in like 2007 or 2009 (forget which). But it says they're made in the far east (from USA so yeah china or something). Thanks, I won't be getting these. I guess I caught up more in discount than the product itself.

I'll take the liberty of lifting Steve's post from another thread:

If you want the real Trixon, you'll just have to buy a used vintage set.If the're not made in Germany, then the're not genuine Trixon, and you're being ripped off.

If you actually like the sound of the snares, then the choice is yours. But if you're buying them for the Trixon name, then beware that you're not getting quite what they claim them to be.
