Default Design Project

Hi,
I am currently a product design student and starting to think about my project for next year. I love my drums and would like to incorporate my hobby and passion into my work. I am just generating ideas on a whole range of topics just now but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask some drummers! My question to you guys is this - do you have any drum related problems, issues or things you would like to see improved? From playing to transporting and setting up to caring for your kit - any thoughts would be appreciated, however wacky - honestly!
Thanks!

Here's mine and they are all pretty wacky!

1. Interchangeable bearing edges that could clip on to the shells.

2. Some type of puddy that could be put on the shells and then re
Cut to form a new bearing edge.

3. Some sort of kit that includes something like expandable foam in a Can that could
be sprayed into a mold that was included with the kit. The stuff would dry And form a drum
shell that was made at home!

Haha, drum kit in a can or some kind of inflatable drum kit would be amazing! I see what you are saying about bearing edges - i'll do a bit of research and see if any ideas hit me! Thanks.

I always have a problem positioning my snare stand an hi hat stand. The legs get in each others way and so I can't just put them where I want quickly.

Any improvement in portability would be very welcome. I'd also be curious to see what a smart designer could do with the mechanisms for the snare basket, throne height adjuster, and boom adjuster.
