![]() I bought a Tycoon Percussion Woodpecker thing it was it, but the Tycoon is MUCH bigger and you have to use your wrist/arm to do it right. I have an LP Ching Chok on backorder, and it's the closest sound I could get to this thing. But, if anyone knows anything about this little thing, please let me know! It's the thing beside the triangle. |

I'm racking my brain to figure out what that is. Can you give an example of where Carter used it on an album or live album? I have an idea of what that is but I'm not sure.
I'm also curious, where did you get that pic from? I'd love to see some pics of his setup up so close like that. |

He uses it on the intro to Dont Drink the Water on Live at Piedmont Park. Justin Scott (Beaufordbuddy) posted these pictures on his facebook.

The Ching Chok looks the closest to that thing.
Maybe the Pearl Tang-Tang? When I first read your post, right away I was thinking that you were talking about a Vibra Slap. I know carter has used those on some songs. The Vibra Slap sounds like that "woodpecker" sound. Not trying to hijack, but do you know where I can get some cool updated pics of Carter's kit? |
