Default Words for describing drum sounds?

Words like punchy, warm and attack. I dont know what any of them mean. Can I explanation? It would be nice to know. And are there other ones?
Some kind of example would help a lot. Like a youtube video or a song or somethin.

Sweet tom sound to me = "Dooooom"
Snare tuned for rock backbeat = "Blatt"
My 20" Sabian AAXplosion crash blossoming = "Puuu-waaaaash-sssssssssss" (totally satisfying)

That's all I got.

Chomp: Good balance of attack, resonance, depth and control on a bass drum.

Spank: Sound from hitting the bell of a cymbal.

Are there musicians you can hang out with that could explain this in person? To me the most important characteristics are bright vs. warm/dark.

Bright- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TABgcQ57pOs

Warm- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z6WBP-BkYk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JOy1nM6UoA - The bass in this song is AMAZING. I would describe it as big, warm, and boomy.

Trashy- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEoYr...eature=channel

Hope that helps a little bit. I'm sort of still figuring out my musical adjectives. But truly, there isn't a wrong way to describe a sound.

My ride is pingy with wash overtones....my ride/crash is a nice blend of washy and trashy.....my Rock Crash is loud and...well....loud...........my Medium Crash is bright, full, and loud........my K Hybrids.....are quick, dry and bright.......................my kick is boomy with a warm smooth punch, my BP snare cracks it loud and deep.......all 4 of my toms are warm with a "dooom". Dude, you should learn this language if you don't know it.

Dooom, splat, crash, ping
Thud, swish, darkness, splash
We love to name them
But each one costs more cash

when I'm trying to convey something without drums I usually use my voice like a beatbox, one of my old teachers did the same and I took the idea from him.

"Ooomph" - A punchy, fat sounding kick drum.
"Whoof" - The boomy, resonant tone of a bass drum.
"Crack" - The sharp note of a snare drum.
"Pop" - Not to be confused with "crack", a quick "popping" sound from a high-tuned snare.
"Bonk" - Describing the sound of tightly-tuned drums, usually in jazz.
"Hiss" - The wash of a cymbal or hi-hats.
"Bark" - A quick open/shut accent on the hi-hats.
"Splash" - Bouncing the hi-hats loosely for a washy sound...which leads me to.
"Wash" - Sustaining overtones after striking cymbals.
