Trying to simplify our gig set up. I have the rehearsal space, PA and a trailer so I handle all the gear except the guitarists stuff.

I managed to get my drums, keyboard, lights, computer, guitar and mic stands, mixer, power and PA cables on one cart.

It was almost perfect but it's a half inch too tall to roll into the trailer :).

Go with heavy duty smaller diameter casters?

Simple fix... Put the handles down on those top cases ;-)

Too easy. Make the trailer taller.

I feel it really needs the 6" casters

If the cart itself didn't hit at the door opening, I'd consider loading/unloading the top shelf on site. :)

That would be awesome because I have smacked my skull a couple times at the doorway. A trailer taller than 6' is gonna be hard to find and cost probably 6K :)

I found a metal fabricator about a mile from my place who will shorten it 3" at the top for $50. I was THRILLED. It would have taken me all day to do it and it would have looked like hell. :)

$50 well spent in my book.

Swapped my TRS kit for a Noble and Cooley CD Maples kit today.
20” bass drum
10” and 12” rack Toms
15” floor tom with legs.

Some dings and nicks but nothing you would notice from more than a couple feet away. It will make a great kit for rehearsals and gigs.

I saw a seller unloading a stash of Paiste cymbals last week on the local Facebook Marketplace at insane low prices. I chose the 10” 2002 Mega Bell, 6” 2002 Bell Chime, and a 1984 20” Sound Creation Dark China (!!!!!). I still can't believe he gave away the whole package to me for the equivalent of only US$218. It looks like it’s going to be a very Happy New Year for me :-)

Love the short boom. We referred to these as "Ronnie James Dio stands" when I was gigging. Great for kick drums.

Those are some heavy duty hoops. Percussion Ordnance is apparently a KickStart project trying to get off the ground.

There must be something to that "planets aligning up" stuff.

I've been looking for an Istanbul Agop 30th Anniversary 24" Ride for nine years with a very specific target weight/sound.
I missed out on one nine years ago by thinking too long about it and someone else scooped it up.

I had pretty much given up on finding what I was after. The evening of the Super Wolf Blood Moon a post hits my computer
for this cymbal within 4 grams of my target weight.

Sound is superb, even better than the one that eluded me years ago.

Don't even have to hear it, with the story behind, I would think that one goes into the 'lifetime keeper' category.

Since Scott's Drum Center in Lafayette, Louisiana will be closing for good soon, and I happened to be in the metro New Orleans area, I went to Ray Fransen's Drum Center in Kenner, Louisiana this morning and bought the following:

Vic Firth Tala Wands
Evans clear G2 and G1 10" heads (for the Mapex 10" Venus tom I bought at Scott's Drum Center last week)
Humes and Berg Galaxy 8x10 Bag for the previously mentioned 10" Venus tom.

I also saw the Tedeschi Trucks Band last night. Peace and goodwill.

They are closing? That's sad. I remember going over there from time to time when I was living in Lafayette.

That's a Canopus Zelkova, their flagship line. Carved from a log, no glue, no vent grommet, barrel shaped outer shell profile for strength. Vertical grain orientation.

Just a guess, but since it has a Zelkova badge, I'm gonna go with Zelkova. It's an ornamental tree in the Elm family.

larryace and MrInsanePolack are right, it's a Canopus Zelkova, a wood from the elm family also called Akagi (red wood) in Japan.

British Drum Company Joe's Butler. What a great accessory. These are in demand and are sold out most everywhere. Drum Center of Portsmouth had them backordered for several months. They may have a couple left.

Do swaps count?

Just swapped my 2002 wilds and 2002 Heavy Ride for a mint condition 20" A Thin Crash and a mint condition 20" A Rock Ride.

My 2002s were in great nick but they hadn't been played in years and the wilds are very one trick pony.

Just back from a little road trip to swap my Tama Starphonic Maple Burl for a Tama Starphonic Nickel over Brass.
Not had chance to give it a whirl yet but a little fettling & it sounds awesome :) Very pleased. I did the swap as I already have two other Maple Snare's & wanted a Brass Snare for a different sound :)
