Default Bring your best Jim Keltner

If you were asked to do a Keltner-type session, what material, besides Steely Dan's "Josie" would you refer to?

His playing on Elvis Costello's "Spike" album was brilliant. I was going to mention Eric Clapton's "From the Cradle" album, but I think Eric said he wanted to cop all his blues influences on one album, so maybe not that one. Early George Harrison featured Jim too.

Being a huge travelling Wilbury fan I always liked his stuff with them.

I recently acquired Ry Cooder's wonderful album Chicken Skin Music, and Keltner's playing on it is great. Here are the first two tunes--I especially like Keltner's playing on the second one ("I Got Mine"): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZlnDy3LsRI
