It seems you like a damped Tom sound, considering you have two moongel pads on every tom. You could just as well get Evans EC2 heads, I use these with my Tour Customs and don't need to use any moongel, except on the snare. The EC2s are also very durable and only need changing maybe once a year or even more seldom.

Wow, that's a clean looking setup. Must be a blast to play :). What's your main style?

Thank you! It is very nice to play must say :) I'm playing almost everything.. trying different styles so I can find the style which is best for me. But now I play mosty prog, metal, rock, funk and fusion.

Very Pretty! What are the shells made of? Is the kick really 17 deep?

All the shells are 100% maple. It's not North American maple though but it is still good. The kick is 17'' deep, I measured it. I was suprised aswell that it is 17'' deep because they are usually 16'', 18'' or 20''!

Yeah I like damped sound. But if I had better heads I would not do that. As I told in the specs I am going to buy new heads as soon as possible. Those heads are just too resonant for my taste. I think I'm going to buy Aquarian Response 2 coated heads for tom toms and floor tom. Kiitos kumminkin! :)

Must be a Yamaha thing, my Stage Custom Advantage kick is 17" aswell :)

Beautiful kit, I must same I am a bit of a fan of Yamahas.

Just turned the kit into a bassdrum, floortom and tom tom kit and tightened all the lugs from those three drums.. They were so loose. Now they sound very nice!

Congrats on the kit, Yammies are great I have a SC Advantage all birch and love those...as for the 17" it is a yamaha thing; YOU will certaily come to love Yamaha as the days go by...ENJOY and it looks nice by the way.

Sweet! :) Got the same kit man :)

let those drums breath!

Ha they do :) Sounds good, i've done recording with them and live and all sounds good on the playback and when live! I know what you mean though, i'll be able to tune easily one day meaning i won't have to 'gaffer' up! ;)
