BIG drum kits

Does anyone know where I can buy a drum kit with the following sizes?

• 14" × 15" Rack Tom
• 16" × 18" Floor Tom
• 16" × 24" Bass Drum

I checked many sites and they usually always have 22" kicks and 14-16" floors. For such big drum sizes, does that mean I have to buy them separately? For example: http://www.instrumentpro.com/acoustic-drums/index.html

I would prefer Tama but I'd be willing to consider other brands. Thanks in advance!

Dave Grohl fan? :p I've been looking for over a year for a kit like that, I ended up buying a 13x9, 16x16, 18x16 and 24x18 kit and then bought a 15x12 marching snare drum that I painted to match the rest of the kit - still don't know how it'll sound cos I'm still waiting for the tension rods to turn up :p

Heya, this might be an idea...check out bands like Down, Orange Goblin and stoner/doom bands in general that are into their big drums, you could just see what brand they're using then contact a shop and see if they can get them in? I know the Down drummer is using metal drums for extra resonance, (I think he's a bit of a Bonham fan!), so that might be an avenue worth looking into as I'm guessing thats the sorta massive sound your after?

Without doing a whole lotta research (on my end), 15x14 is a huge drum, basically a floor tom. 15x12 would be the old "traditional" size. I'd say it's a definite special order item, and you're only gonna find it available in the high-end drum lines.

Haha, you better believe it. :D That's cool, did you end up buying everything separately? I'm in love with this kit lol: http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/s...-Black-24x18-18x16-15x14-14x8-Avedis-Zildjian

Thanks for the replies guys. Would you recommend buying from a real shop or are there any good/reliable drum sites online I could try?

Yeah I did, ended up spendin almost £100 on it and I still don't know if it'll be worth it :p

I know! I found that thread when I googled '15x14 drum' :p it is honestly my dream kit I'd kill for it :p shame that none of the youtube videos work for me though (N)

Big drums can be fun. I've got a kit with a 16x18 floor tom and a 12x15 rack tom. Kick isn't quite as bit (18x22) but certainly gets the job done! You shouldn't have too much trouble finding the sizes you want, but they are a little harder to find than the more typical 14, 16, or 22-inch drums. Order from a drum shop, or, if you want an adventure, dig around online (I've bought lots of great used drums on eBay.
