I would estimate that about 90% of that is pure processing and EQ settings. That snare would sound very different if you were sitting behind that kit and playing it.

For what it's worth, I'd guess it's a brass or bronze snare tuned medium tight and slammed very hard on the backbeat. Heavy sticks and rimshots all the way.
 
Doesn't sound too mysterious to me. My first try for that would be tight top head, medium-loose bottom head, fiddle with the strainer to get in just before it after-rattles.
