Hi Uniin,

I saw your drumkit before, one of the reasons I bought it.
I have the only one in Belgium.
I waited 9 months for my 8" tom.

Hey everyone! I'm new to drummerworld, but I figured I would put up my Superstar. I bought these last year and I love them.

Wow Mike, that's beautiful!!
Do you have some more pics of the kit??

Thanks! That's a picture I took at my old practice space a year or so ago. I'll have to shuffle around and see if I have any more photos. It's not currently setup.

I've been debating whether to buy a white TAMA kick head for a while now...

Think I've just got my answer

Yeah, it came with the standard black head. With the off-white coated head, I was a little iffy if it would match well with the darker wood grain, but I ordered them and have been happy ever since. Make sure to order the off-white coated head (might be listed as the vintage one) and not the white one. The regular white one is just smooth, and not coated. I didn't want to port the 22", but I knew I was going to have to. I used to sell drums, and for whatever reason, I was never able to get rid of a certain 'tinggy' sound on the bubinga bass drums unless they were ported. The port makes a HUGE difference and helps so much. I still mic outside about an inch off center though, not using the port.

Hey there folks, first post on this superb forum!
I used to have a 6 piece Starclassic Maple in Coral Reef Blue color, but I had to sell it because it was a little bit too loud for my purposes, so I bought a Yamaha Stage Custom kit and all was fine. BUT I really wanted to go back to Tama and especially Starclassics, so I picked up this kit a couple of weeks ago and now I really remember why I bought Starclassic the first time!

Its Starclassic Performer Birch (Japan made) and I think the color is Diamond Dust (not sure, anybody??)
