Does anyone on this forum know what brand&model sticks Tony Thompson used?.
I've got dec 85 MD but it NEVER mentions ANYTHING about his sticks&the cover photo/shot on the cover you can't clearly see the brand or model on the stick he's holding as he's wearing gloves.Ta lads/mates for all your help! :)
Ado.

In some pics, the tip looks Pro-Mark, but in some it looks round... They seem pretty long, and he was said to be a HARD hitter (easily Dave Ghrol with precision), so maybe he used the Pro-Mark 2S like Tommy Aldridge uses? It would go with the length, and the look of the tip.
His hats were 15" Quick beats for a while, and those don't take as well to a lighter handed playing style. His snare always sounded like it was on verge of being killed too haha!
The 17" 2S would make sense. There weren't the "signature" products/sticks from companies really back then (with who knows what differences from normal sticks) either, so at least it narrows things down a bit.

Check this--about 3/4 down:

Unless you're putting together a TT display or something, I'd just get sticks that fit YOUR hand the best.

Good luck!
