What a little drumming angel!

I am constantly amazed at the learning rate of children. They are little sponges. Life hasn't gotten in the way with all of it's negativity and complications.

I see it right now with my 5 yr old. If I could learn new skills half as fast as she does, I'd be a master of several disciplines by now.

Baha, great. She's so cute.

I always get mixed feelings from these child prodigy videos... on one hand it's entertaining and great to see on the other it challenges everything you think you know about learning, and practicing and the difficulty of it all. And kinda makes you wish your parents set you up to do that (as though they knew drums were your calling in life).

Wow...she's amazing little drummer. Another to check out on YouTube is another 6 yr old boy. Search Avery drummer and check out "Hot for Teacher". He has a lot of other songs on there too. Wish I was that good at ANYTHING when I was six . This kid is phenomenal!!!

ain't that the truth Jeff :)

The reason I put this up was nothing to do with that "embryo with Vinnie's chops" deal. Quite the opposite in fact. This girl's shuffle is right on the money. Not many her age, or any age for that matter, pulling those off convincingly. It was the maturity of her performance that really took my attention.

But she can do the "embryonic Vinnie chops" (most likely Weckl actually) too, on proper drums too! http://youtu.be/uflbh-zbthQ

Absolutely nailed the feel and essence of a basic shuffle. She has great technique and the simple, clean fills are spot on. She doesn't overplay.
Seasoned playing, regardless of age. Amazing.
