Default Butch Trucks

Just wondering why there seems to be no mention anywhere on the website about the late Butch Trucks. Even the complete alphabetical list doesn't list him.

This came out when he topped himself, but other than that I don't recall seeing him mentioned too much over the years at all.

I thought this would be a thread about really tough looking genital compensation vehicles.

I did not get the laughs I expected.

Not to worry:

Don't know myself, but seems that he would certainly warrant even a short page considering the length of his career and the success of the Allman Bros. I thought he was a pretty good drummer-especially live.

Not to mention a lot of that time was in a double drummer situation which is unique in itself. Like Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, you don't hear much about them either... (Been to more than a few Dead shows and they pulled off "live" like few other "rock bands" imho).

Trucks like that always make me want to doff my hat and say, "Sorry about your penis, dude."

Had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Butch in 2012. Funny, well read, smart, nice guy. Sorry he's gone.

Great picture.

I also was lucky enough to meet him in Saratoga NY, in 2010. Down to earth, we talked for a half hour or so.

To me it speaks to the fascination with chops. He is a drummer that fit with the band and music he was playing. I appreciate what he did very much every time I play and AB tune.
