I fell in love with EC2 Coated heads for the toms, Genera Dry for the snare and Remo Powerstroke (I think) for the kick.

I play different cymbal setups for different projects but my most common is
13" AAX Hats
18" Meinl Soundcaster Custom Crash
22" Dream Energy Crash/Ride
16" Dream Bliss Crash
16" Dream China
12" Dream China
10" Sabian HHX Dave Weckl Signature Splash

And occasionally woodblocks and a 10" djembe

Cheers I hope this thread is in the right place!

Rt on. Very nice kit.

Post some sound files of the recording when you can, would love to hear them. Going into studio this weeked for our second CD "Pushing Back Darkness". Will be recording my CX again. Put the new EC2 clears on and I noticed the new style dampening rings which seem to control overtones a little more than the original silver rings. Not sure, maybe it's just me going deaf.

Yeah, the PDP Maple kits sound great and after 4+ year of lugging them around they have not given me any hardware issues or other problems with construction. However, I didn't care for the snare. Overall, a great kit for the price.
