Default Dawson section 3 question

I'm working on the Alan Dawson book section 3, which is about single stroke rolls. Can someone check my note math to be sure I'm doing the right thing?

In part 2 Ramsey writes:

"Play each two measures of the exercise (8th notes) followed by a single-stroke roll (16th notes) for five counts (half-note counts) plus one rest".

Am I correct that this would be (with the first exercise):

|R-L-R-L-R-L-R-L-|R-L-R-L-R-L-R-L-|rlrlrlrlrlrlrlrl|rlrlrlrlrlrlrlrl|rlrlrlrl--------|

Thanks!

Default Re: Dawson section 3 question

Hey there,

It's played like this:

|R-L-R-L-R-L-R-L-|R-L-R-L-R-L-R-L-|rlrlrlrlrlrlrlrl|rlrlrlrlrlrlrlrl|r-------|

Notice the half bar at the end. Play with no accents and try to play as much from the wrist as possible until you get really fast
