Default George's Drum Shop Going Out of Business

Hi! I'm closing my drum shop here in Akron OHio. The recession won! We can't fight 20% unemployment!

There will be a going out of business sale during the whole month of January. Prices have already been reduced on the inventory. Much of it is up on Ebay. Go to WWW.GeorgesDrumShop.com and click on the Ebay link.

That website will remain in business after January selling any remaining inventory and a few select items.

Please email sales@georgesdrumshop.com with any questions about sales or business with the store.

The business is not in bankruptcy. All creditors and vendors are being paid.

I will be working in Nashville and out on the road with Poco. I will also be putting all my business efforts into my Not So Modern Drummer Magazine business which is actually growing!

If you have any personal business concerning the shop's closing please email me george@georgesdrumshop.com

Thanks to all my customers out there. I had a good 25 year run in the drum shop retail business and I'm going to get out before it gets ugly. :-)

Thanks to Drummerworld too!

George Lawrence

Sorry to hear that George. I've bought some great stuff from you guys, and always enjoyed haunting your website over the years. Glad to hear that you are still on your feet and pivoting to something else right away. Good luck in 2011!

Glad to hear, as one door closes, another one has already opened for you.

Well, onwards and upwards- good job moving on at a time of your own choosing. I'd be interested in books if you're closing them out- I didn't see any on your ebay page. Maybe PM me with a list?

Best of luck with NSMD and your other future endeavors! tb

Although I've never been there, I'm still sad to hear of your stores closing.

My first job was in a little drum shop, and it was an integral part of my youth. So I feel it every time I hear of another place closing down.

That sucks George! I'm off work on Wednesday, maybe I'll stop in to the shop and catch a deal.

Hey George, I remember you from the RMMP group. That place was interesting and fun. I wish you the best in the future! Good Luck!
