Default Brass Snare Repair

I have a 6.5x14 Gretsch Legend Brass Snare that I LOVE. Unfortunately, it was tipped over the other day and now the snare side is out of round. When you put on a head, it is extremely tight on 2 sides and you can't spin the head. The bearing edges are kind of funky as well now.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I feel like I can get it back into round, but I would really like to fix the edges too so the head will sit flat.

Default Re: Brass Snare Repair

Unless you have metalworking skills, you just may make the problem worse.

I would consider ,calling someone like Precision Drums,to see if the'll do the repair.
