Default Dante Agostini

Found an old book by Dante Agostini, so I looked him up:

I'm not a big fan of composed drum pieces, but these unison kit players sound really good.

Sadly he died in 1980, but seems to have quite a big legacy in Europe.

Dante Agostini has possibly been the most important drum teacher in France during many many years. Actually he was Italian (he was born near Urbino), but spent most of his life in France. His family left Italy when he was a child due to political reasons (rise of fascism).
With the help of Selmer and together with Kenny Clarke he founded a drum school in 1965. The Dante Agostini schools still exist today, and I know there still is a Dante Agostini school even in Italy, near Pordenone (northern Italy).

Thanks for this information!

I wonder if any of the drummers in the video are still active today, maybe even here on the forums?
