Taking care of your drum throne

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on taking care of their thrones. Seeing as how I own a pork pie throne, I would like to know how to take care of these great thrones. I've heard applying WD-40 helps in preventing rust and stuff like that. But, what about actual cleaning? Any general tips would be appreciated.

The most I've done to care for my Roc'nsoc throne is to keep it's seat foam filled with the afterbirth of Hardee's, Wendy's, 7-11, IHOP's, etc. The seat and backrest have done mighty well considering everything they've absorbed over the last couple years, beer, assorted shots, gallons of sweat, a little blood, rain, etc.

A little tightening of the nuts and bolts every now and then is truly the most I've ever needed to do.

Besides being mindful of care of the seat cushion when packing gear for transport to and from a show. The first thing I did when I got it was put some clear thread grease on the screw and hardware. Haven't given it much thought since. (pork pie).
