Drum set pride

A good example is Neil Peart's "Old Number One" Slingerland, which he found at some store for 60 bucks. He used that turkey for all of his touring kits until he went to DW. He even tried at some expense to match it for the electronic kit at the rear, but they never got it quite the same; there was a certain magic to that cheap old snare that was all its own.
