Had a search around for this over the last little while, but couldn't see anything out there... maybe it's an in-store thing?

It was mentioned here and on Youtube that they aren't labeled as rides or crashes, but are the hats labeled hats, top and bottom, or just small cymbals

Objectively, they are very "different" from K's, K Customs, K Cons, or anything else you can buy from Zildjian right now.

Subjectively, I'd choose them over K's in a heartbeat.

Here's a 14, 20, 22 set: http://www.explorersdrums.com/produc...FQiQaQod85MAMQ

These seem like cymbals you'd want to pick out individually though.

They're a different animal to the other Zildjian K-logo cymbals, that's fore sure. A real vintage vibe to them. I'm still digging mine more than any other set of cymbals I've owned, and I've had full sets from most major and some minor producers. There's something special about these Keropes to my ear :)

I tried out some Kerope hi-hats recently and they were awesome, on the price-y side but if I found a pair going second hand I'd be all over them.

Anyone do business with these folks? Prices are competitive but with no sound files or videos...I'm not really interested.

I agree. They really sound very vintage, and each one has its own character.

I can also confirm that they are very *flexible*: I accidentally STOOD ON ONE AND IT INVERTED after someone had left it ON THE FLOOR in a dimly lit drumstore. Aaaaghhhh, imagine my horror!
To my relief it popped back into its normal shape, and still sounded great!

Also, be sure to check out the new medium-weight offerings released recently. I just heard my first 22" in a medium weight (2610g), and it was amazing. Bought it on the spot! Goes so well with my other Keropes, and has a stronger bell (which I do miss sometimes from other K lines). Don't get me wrong, the integrated bell is beautiful and highly musical, but sometimes you need to get stuck-in during the bridge of a song ... the new medium weight has a really strong (but still integrated) bell sound that will sit above the mix a bit more and cut through. Sensational :)
