maybe be a stupid question, but... thoughts on accustic vs e-kit

I really like both very much, but never owned and E kit. I've been playing acoustic drums for a long time and could never replace them with an E kit. The thing is, every time I have the opportunity to play an E kit just for fun, I do it. A really good E kit is very expensive and it doesn't come close to giving me the excitement of an acoustic set of drums. When I get that kind of money saved up, another acoustic set of drums start to pull me in their direction. Another thing is and many probably won't agree with me, but I enjoy experimenting with different head combinations and tuning. The really nice thing about acoustic drums is that I can take them down to the lake behind my house and play until nightfall under the open sky, with an E kit, I would have to run a Very long extension cord, lol.
