Default So I made a record, here's a preview!

Hey guys, so my final project for my master's degree is to submit a recording of original music, I'm happy with the results and wanted to share with you a track on it! This is the first part of a 2part suite that has the same title as the record.

Lugar de Reposo I. corazones errantes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1By...ature=youtu.be

Hope you like it, would love to have some feedback on it!

Am not well versed in this genre of music but that sounded great. Tasteful drumming, the middle (around 3:00) sounded very 'Bill Bruford' to me.....if I may say so.
Just curious, your cymbals have a very dark/trashy sound. What did you use?

Dude, that was very cool. I liked it a lot. My uneducated ear isn't well versed on what you are doing from a theory/harmony perspective, but it was easy to listen to, and it was entertaining.

Wow Numberless-first listened on my laptop and couldn't really hear-but with headphones......superb!

So did you write all of it and have friends help perform with you on drums-or did you do all? Whatever the first minute I'm like subdued into meh I can predict the rest of it. Silly me!

There after the real journey begins-after the first minute it transitions about every 30 seconds it seems and reminds me of a movie score-there's a story-I can see it in my head-an enjoyable head trip. You did a fantastic job on drums IMHO. I think you did a fantastic job on the whole suite (I'd like to hear the rest of it).

If anyone on your Master's committee gives you crap tell them you want an outside "readers/listeners". Good luck-really enjoyed that.

Oh and congratulations on completing your Master's degree I think you got it in the bag.

Superb! Eminently listenable, well played and well mastered.

I can't play it, but I love jazz!

Thanks so much! I'm using a pair of Dream Bliss Hihats, a 20" Supernatural Constellation crash/ride and a 21" 30th Anniversary Istanbul Ride.

Thanks a lot for the great feedback, I definitely had a story in mind! I composed all the music and then assembled a band to play it, I think they did a phenomenal job!

I use bliss 14s and get all sorts of compliments on them. Not bad for a less than 200 dollar hat pair.

Yup, I'm also using a 14" and yes I get compliments all the time, amazing pair of cymbals, they're not quite the sound I have in my head, but right now they are getting the job done and then some!

This is great, nice work! Some of it reminds me of Horace Silver.
