Pedal trouble

Ok so i had a spare pedal lying around, and i figured I'd use it to hit a jam block. So i rigged up a thing to hold my jam block vertically from a cymbal stand, and it works pretty well. Only problem is, neither the pedal or the stand will stop moving around and I have no idea how to stop it. Any suggestions?

If painters tape isn't doing it, you might try removing the foot board, drilling holes in the bottom plate, then drywall screws into the floor. That will hold the pedal steady. If its concrete, use masonry screws.

Otherwise you'll need to shell-out for an accessary like Gibby's CBPM cowbell bass pedal mount.

umm if thats carpet that its sitting on, how about putting velcro on the bottom of the pedal? You can glue it on or you might be able to get your hands on some velcro that has 1 side peel-off that is pre-glued. if its concrete that its on or something similar, put the stickiest tape you can find, doubled over on the bottom of the pedal so it holds the pedal firm.
