Good time to buy the Roland TD-20KX V-Pro?

I'm considering getting one of these second hand as they've hugely dropped in value since the release of the TD-30.

But is it a good idea to buy a discontinued electric drum kit? I've never owned one so don't know much about them, but would I have trouble replacing any parts if that was necessary?

Also what are the fundamental differences between the TD20 and TD30?

I have an expanded td20 with all 16 channels maxed out.

The td30 has upgraded hi-hat, and snare. The hi hat is more accurate, and the snare is more sensitive.

other than a few under the hood module changes for sensitivity and what not thats about it.. the sounds are a small upgrade from the td20 to be honest..

your better off getting a td20 for much less than the td30.... parts are available via ebay and roland still i believe. I'm going to pick up an lcd from roland just in case they are not in the future.

I would suggest using VST'S on whatever one you decide on as the sounds are pretty good. but not great on these kits.
