Differences in Drum Hoops?

Hey,

I'm admittedly a little clueless when it comes to the technical and tonal differences between die-casts, wooden, etc. drum hoops.

I was wondering if anyone could let me know of the varieties available and their applications. It would be really, really appreciated.

Thanks.

search bar next time - try these! I know it's a lot but I'll summarize a bit, anybody correct me if I'm wrong. Flanged hoops are open sounding, die cast tune easier due to rigidity, and they dry out the overtones. Wood hoops resonate, are warm, and probably drier than flanged. There are also S-hoops which are in between die cast and flanged.

All correct xcept the S-HOOPS, which are a step above both flanged and die cast tonally and functionally.

Thank you kind sir. Do you have them personally? Have you gotten the chance to ever do an A B C comparison?
