Best Recording Software?????

Hello everyone,

I would like to know what everyone thinks is the best software for recording electronic drums and why?

Thanks

Whatever's the cheapest. Seriously. You're not really recording when it comes to electronic drums (samples), all you're doing is cut/pasting samples of drums that have been eq'ed/ gated/ compressed/ processed. The recording has technically already been done, you're just manipulating data. That being said, spend some money on good drum samples (software).

I use Reaper, but I don't do alot of samples and stuff. I mainly just play the instruments, record them and mix. I haven't even used the midi stuff yet. I generally play guitars, bass, my acoustic drums and maybe piano, vocals. I tend to do things the old fashioned way I guess. Reaper has most of the fancy stuff the rest do, but costs quite a bit less. I think they are up to $60 for a license, but you can try it for free for 30 days, or 60 days? can't recall.
