Black Sabbath are making a new album, under the name Heaven and Hell.
Dio-Vocals
Tony Iommi-Guitar
Geezer Butler-Bass
Vinny Appice-Drums

How could a lineup like that fail? Here's the new single, Bible Black. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3clLf-L9oSo&feature=related

I love it, it sounds like a cross between Dio's solo work and his work with Black Sabbath, with a bit of vintage Sabbath thrown in for good measure.

What do you all think of it?

I heard this on the local alt. rock station in the car yesterday and the first thing I said to my wife was; "Dio? The 80's must be making a comeback."

I suppose there will be long-time fans out there that will love it. IMO, this type of rock has become a parody and is specific to its era. Tenacious D might be out of a job, though.

I liked Dio with Black Sabbath, Mob Rules & Heaven and Hell were great.
I saw them with Judas Priest last August.

The name of the album is: The Devil You Know, and is close to be released.

Heaven & Hell line-up are: Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ronnie James Dio, Vinny Appice.

Black Sabbath line-up are: Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ozzy Osbourne, Bill Ward.

The longer Dio is singing, the bigger a joke he becomes. A funny one we had last year (amongst the local sound guys) was the ubiquitous Behringer 'Ultra-DI' being transformed into the 'Ultra-DIO' which somehow gave it mystical powers. Sure, the man's a good singer; but he's getting beyond a joke.

Come on, He is the holy diver......
..........keep it quiet, rent boy!
