Default Star Drums - what wood?

Hi there - does anyone know what wood was used for Star drums in the late 60s early 70s? I just purchased an old Star kick and am not sure about the wood used. Heres a pic of the inside of the shell. Thanks guys.

Looks like stencil kit wood. Probably Luan.
