A Custom 14" EFX Cymbals Idea? Hi-hats

I just got an 18" EFX the other day and I love it! also just found out you can get EFX's in 14".
My question is would they sound good as hi-hats? would they growl too much? Would this be a stupid idea?

Not that I think about doing it. Just what would you guys think?

I have the 16" and 18" EFX cymbals and love them. They are very thin weights though so I doubt they would do well as hi hats, though I've played two 14" A custom crashes as hats and loved them.

Thanks, what about O-Zone cymbals? Do you think they would do well?

I think the cut outs in the EFX series might prove annoying while playing them as hihats, don't you think? And usually you need something thicker as a bottom so it projects better...
