Default Shine Snare Drum

I found a Shine 5.5x14 custom snare drum in a blue onyx wrap for $200, it says made in Califonia and looks new. It has a throw off with a baseball bat type handle that throws the snares on and off horizontaly. Anyone know what these snares retail for? Thanks.

Do you know if its birch or maple? I've seen used birch ones go for 100-150...maples around 200+... I believe they use keller shells..if it sounds good and you really like it... I'd say its a descent deal...if it blows you away and it will be your main snare for the next year+ then I'd say you got a great deal..

I don't know if it's birch or maple, but it does have die cast hoops, I found it in a pawn shop. I'm just curious what these drums sell for new.

Shine lists a 14" snare on their website at $624. Pretty expensive but I do know they give out discounts pretty easily as long as you're in a band, few of my friends in local bands have gotten percentages off their kits.

Wow! So even if they took 40% off the list price they would still sell for around $375 new. I think I may need to buy this drum.
