What's your "day" job?

Played drums for a living from 1975 till 1985 then i had a big brain Fart and became a Consruction Contractor . Just drug the Tamas out of moth balls about 5 years ago.

hehe this is cool! Well Im a joiner, working in a workshop, manufacturing anything from windows, doors, complex conservatory structures, pretty much anything. Been doing it for 3 years and by this summer I will be qualified! In the workplace I can use the CNC router that we have, (I do alot of the stairs) - very helpful!

Sounds like a future drum builder to me.

i don't know if i would call it a day job, but i own a swim school, intotheswim.com. i started it because when ever i didn't have a tour i always taught swimming. now it runs without me for the most part. i tour whenever i want and fortunately it is successful enough i can be more selective on what gigs/tours i want to do. to be honest, you'll find a lot of "pro" musicians are doing similar things.

I'm not there yet, but I'm headed for fighter pilot, then commercial pilot once i get a bit older....I'm on track so far. Only downside is that i will be drum-less for almost a decade.

If that doesn't work out, I'll probably do something like Unix

Cool. I'm a development chemist specializing in ultrapure metal-organics for use in the electronics industry. We supply the chemical precursors for the deposition processes for making the chips.

Dear drummers,

A brief of my day-night job.

I work for an Oil Company in the drilling department as a Logistics Supervisor.
I support and manage: 1 drilling rig, 1 work-over rig, 1 snubbing (high pressure) control unit. My work-schedule is rotation, 14 days on (rig) x 14 days off (home).

All the Best.
