i own a Mapex Pro M maple kit. that was the name of the series before they renamed it Meridian.
it is a great sounding kit. best kit i've owned yet by far and i've had top of the line Ludwig, Rogers and Tama kits along with a 1991 Mapex Orion maple kit i still have.
you cannot go wrong with a maple Meridian kit, believe me. excellent bang for the buck for sure!!
I have a Mapex Pro M four piece that I use at all my gigs...got it and a set of DWs at the same time, and ended up selling the DWs because I like my Mapex so much!
The Meridian 7 piece is set up different to all of the above.
It's 8",10"&12"tom toms, 14"&16"floor toms 14" snare and 22x20"virgin bass.
The tom tom are all mounted on stands.
