Default Best badges in the business

On the flip side of the "Worst badges in the business," what badges do you like?

I like the Pork Pie badges.

I also like DW badges.

For some reason, I really like the old-school-script-type badges too:

I have a set of Ludwig Centennial drums, but before I bought them, I was worried that the badges would look cheap. However, when I looked at them up close, I really like that paisley swirl in behind the logo:

So how about you? Which badges do you like the best?

Those are sort of funny with me. I don't know if I like it just because I like it, or do I like it because I hated the other logo (or lack thereof) so much.

To me there's no comparison between these two. The newest logo, IMO, is much improved.

The rounded Blue/Olive Ludwig Badge. The pointy one is a pain in the arse if it catches on anything.

The hollow Paiste and Zildjian logo needs to come back as well.

Slingerland cloud badges are cool as are the red P Premier ones.

Any of the Tama Starclassic badges that are under the lacquer are great.

I own a maple Pearl Session Custom from the series where the badges looked like this, and I always thought that it was a nice looking badge.

With that said, I think that the Starclassic decal badge is very very nice looking.

Very small ones. I wipe the logos off my cymbals and drum heads and would remove them from the drums if they didn’t leave marks.

But wait, with no logos on my drums other drummers wouldn’t know if they were cool or not :)

Ludwig Keystone and Gretsch round badge.

I also like the badges on the Yamaha Absolutes.

There are very few cymbal logos I like though.

I'm looking for a good way to produce my logo/badge in script only version (with no "triangle" background). Think that should be even better.

INDe's badge is pretty discrete having it integrated in to the air vent:

I was admiring that kit, and the nice discreet badge, and then I got to the strap line on the od: "Why pay more?"

Seriously?

Buy our drums 'cause they're not expensive?

That's right up there with "Volvo - they're boxy, but they're good!"

As much as I dislike Sakaé Almighty ridiculous badge (ugly shaped, too big, filled with details and colours...) ; I really like the Sakaé Trilogy badge ! Classy, discreet :
The way a badge should be somehow.

Such beautiful set of drums by the way...

Ha ha, i know. I could have cut that part off, but I'm lazy. I also think that badge looks better on their Dark Ocean Burst kit. And finally, ParaSonics aren't inexpensive. (They are awesome drums, though.) 😁

Ludwig keystones of course, they are such classics. But until Yamaha decide to use their plain tuning forks logo as a badge, my vote goes to the old Sonor mallets:

All the script badges, including just letters, like Unix.

Anything without words, like the Sonor Mallet badge

Sonor (The old school script one. It deserves special mention because it's just too cool)

Oriollo (I like the triangle FWIW. You could take a poll)

I've always been a fan of Tama's decals, and really don't like their riveted badges.

That said, the Star logo (top pic) looks great with the inlay, and the Starclassic logo (bottom) looks a bit clunky against that vertical tigerwood grain.
