Talk box to e-drums

Do you mean talk box as in the old guitar effect? I'm sure it's possible, but I can't see many uses for it. Then again, maybe I'm just not thinking far enough outside the box.

It might work if you spoke or sang with very short staccato phrases.

Not necassarily, you could effectively change the harmonic tones of the drums for entire phrases.

I'm wondering, what does a talkbox have to be plugged into and what would that be for an e-kit?

I'm thinking it might be cool for an electronic mallet-percussion device, since it has many different notes.

Change the harmonic tones? I'm not thinking about tuning, I'm thinking sustain. A short sharp sound can accommodate one consonant and one vowel max. You could get a beatbox effect out of it, I'd imagine.

Wikipedia has an article on the mechanics of it, with guitar anyway.
