Default anyone catch the VH1 show about all the groupies?

This was really cool. They had sweet sweet Connie, Pamela DesBarres...Very enlightening. They really celebrated the sex these women had.

I didn't see it but feel free to send me a copy of the tape......uh DVR! Pamela was around the GTOs - girls together outrageously - according to Frank Zappa. This was back when Rockers were treated like athletes!

Hope this helps

Actually the plaster casters were profiled. They showed some of the castings too. The biggest one did have "Mr. Mayor" engraved at the base :)

Connie Hamzy (sweet sweet Connie) did reveal her biggest and smallest conquests though.

Biggest: Huey Lewis
Smallest: Peter Frampton.

She said she never got to "do" Mark Farner (of Grand Funk). She said he "went all Christian" on her.

She regaled how, in the beginning, she would stand outside and perform favors to whoever could help her get backstage. She is still doing it too, at a certain theatre in Little Rock. She gets backstage now without having to convince anyone. She is so proud of herself. Roadies, stage hands, and others were treated just as good as the performers by her. She really loves music and the men who make it, and the men who move musical gear too. And the men who sell tickets, work the drink stands and hawk merch too. Oh and can't leave out the security, promotors, managers and friends. What a life eh?

Check it out if you get the chance.

Howard Stern interviewed Connie on 12/8/10. It's a 4 part interview, totally wild.
She mentions more than a few famous drummers.... Bonzo, Moonie, and spills intimate details about them as well as many rock stars, former Presidents....
Her best lover was a drummer who has a famous guitar player brother.
Peart wouldn't give it up. Buddy Rich was even mentioned
She lost her virginity to Foghats drummer.
Here's part 1. Just fascinating.

This show was not exactly an extravaganza of sensitivity. If you dropped a safe on her head from the 10th floor she'd just rub her head and say in her southern drawl, "Hey. Someone jest dropped a sayfe on mah haid" and then go about her business.

I don't believe the Peter Frampton tales ... bet he annoyed her and she's getting back at him.

I'm guessing this is the Sweet Sweet Connie mentioned in the song American Band?

Yes,

Frank relates a story of how Eric Clapton took him to meet the Plaster Casters.
