Default Anyone else take drum sticks on holiday?

Off to the English countryside tomorrow. Five nights in a log cabin.

Everything packed, including a pair of sticks, practice pad, and Stick Control book (plus iPod, of course).

Anyone else do similar - or do you take a break from drumming on holiday?

I travel for work sometimes and when I do bring sticks for rudiments in dull, boring hotel rooms. If they are an older pair, I like to leave them there for somebody to discover....and maybe give to somebody else to take up drumming.

I do, but I almost never get to them during a holiday.

I do not take a break (on purpose) from drumming as it is my hobby and I tend not to have enough time as it is.

Enjoy your holiday- don't feel bad if you do not practice.

I used to certainly take sticks and pad everywhere, even vacations.

Now that I'm older with two kids, not so much.

I have a small bag of sticks (and a spare pedal) in my car, so if it goes on a trip, so do the sticks. But I don't bring them if I'm flying, or taking a different car. I normally don't expect to do any playing or practicing while on vacation.

Always take a pad and sticks with me on Holiday, normally practice each night while I wait for the other half to dress for dinner. Gives me a good hour or so ; )

Have not taken them before but miss playing soon enough, plus hate coming home after a break and having to play catchup.

Had this view a couple weeks ago in Cuba https://t.co/P4bIdbRGuO

I took a pair and a pad with me on my train ride last November. 20 hours, plenty of time.
