Default Ringo Starr's New Album, Tour

Ringo Starr's New Album is Finished, Beatles Drummer Hints at Spring Tour

Video: Ringo Updater on New Album, Tour

The drummer was elated when news broke that he would be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

"It means recognition. And it means, finally, the four of us are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame even though we were the biggest pop group in the land. You know that won't look funny in black and white," he told Rolling Stone.

"I can only look to Tony Bennett and B.B. King. We can go as long as we can go. That's always been the way. If I can hold the sticks and I can stand up, I can do what I love to do. If people are still coming, that's the deal. I don't want to play with myself."

I've been to the last 3 lineups of his all-Starr tour and if he goes out again, I'll be there if at all possible. He knows how to entertain!

I may try to go if he is close this year. I saw him about 5 years ago.

Is Bissonette playing drums with him again? Would love to see that. I have a bittersweet memory regarding the Ringo All-Stars. In 2003, Colin Hay, who was touring with Ringo's All Stars at the time, was a guest on my radio show. He had a good time and invited the staff to see the show AND be his guest for dinner that night...with Ringo. We got stuck in a major Chicago traffic cluster and missed it. Big regret.
