Pete LaRoca is in critical condition at Kateri Residence in the Upper West Side. His family is planning a Benefit Concert for him on Sat. Dec. 29th at St. Peter's Church, 54th & Lexington, 8 pm. Please send out the word to any drummers you know.

I'm embarrassed to say that I know him by name only; that I haven't really listened to any of his work until now. What a great player!
