My DTXplorer sounds super clean and crisp on my headphones. I have good headphones as well (heifenzen or something, can’t remember).
I wanted to hear them through speakers, so I connected it to my Denon hometheater Surround Receiver and the 6 speakers and subwoofer which I normally use with the TV, DVDs, etc.
I used regular RCA cables (those red and white plug ones) to connect the denon to the output of the DTX, which I needed to use an RCA to the long plug that the DTX trigger module uses.
The sound is more “baffled” for the lack of a better description. It is nowhere near as crisp and clear compared to when I use my headphones directly from the trigger module.
Denon is supposedly a high quality receiver and amp, and it sounds good when used for what it is meant for (watching DVDs, etc), so I was wondering why I have this impression?
Maybe my cables are of bad quality and are affecting the sound? Should I use expensive RCA cables? I have the cheapest thing I could find, and the converters from RCA to the long plug are also very cheap.
