[SOLVED]
Hey there guys, I've done some research before coming here so I don't look like a complete dummy. I'm a complete beginner, and since I'm only 16 and going to pay with my own money; this is going to be a big investment for me. I also live in the UK. I'm not sure whether for go for the cheaper alternatives to start out - aka practice drums. (Although I've heard cheap starter sets generally include terrible cymbals). Or I could just jump to a good shell pack, and get the hardware and cymbals separately, of course this is much costlier. This is so that I can practice at first and I wouldn't have to buy a costlier drum set/shell pack when I'm getting serious. I'm in the price range of about £200-£1000 but I'd need advice on which price point I should realistically look at when I start. Just to clarify, I won't be dabbling in the used market.
I've picked out a few drum sets/shell packs, but other suggestions are appreciated:
Drum kits:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_mx222.htm#bewertung (Millenium MX222BX Standard Set)
http://www.gear4music.com/Drums-and-Percussion/Mapex-Tornado-III-22-Rock-Fusion-Drum-Kit-Black/K5G (Mapex Tornado III 22" Rock Fusion Drum Kit)
Shell packs: (If I do go this route, hardware and cymbal suggestions are going to be helpful)
http://www.gear4music.com/Drums-and...m-Birch-22-5-Piece-Shell-Pack-Honey-Amber/XCD (Yamaha Stage Custom Birch 22'' 5 Piece Shell Pack)
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/drums-percussion/pdp-fs-5-piece-shell-pack/560079 (PDP FS Birch 5 piece Shell pack) (Although I cannot find these anywhere, probably discontinued. maybe I could find them used but that's not desirable for me at this point in time)
Pearl export shell pack, once again I can't seem to find this in the UK.
Thanks for reading this far, haha. Help?
