Have you spotted the avatar?

Those gongs sound great. The 22" is a particular highlight. If you don't mind telling, where do you get the material from? I'm assuming you're buying blanks and not forging?

I've made several cymbals and still do, but I'm focusing on gongs at the moment.

Glad you like them!
I buy sheet metal from different metal dealers. I cut a circle and make the gong or cymbal. I am also forging my own cast bronze gongs of copper-tin alloy. They are cast as a flat plate and I hammer a shape including the boss, nipple, or bell. I could have some for sale in a month or so. It's pretty labor-intensive and time-consuming.

I can only imagine what forging your own would be like. Very labour-intensive and difficult for sure - I applaud your efforts! I've seen a few guys do similar things before but it's always good to have another independent cymbalsmith on the scene doing something different.
