thank you, Radeq.. it is pretty unusual and rarely seen. Looks much nicer in real life than in pics, because the striping on the lacquer seem to blur in the camera.

glad you like it.

sweet boxer.

I'm getting my Little Squealer sometime soon: but the Jordan was my first call. Unfortunately, don't have enough to get that baby at the moment.
I have played on both the Yamahas you have zeroed-in on, and I just loved the Jordan model a little more. Slappin', for sure.

so you settled on the finish?

you'll probably regret that more and more over time. it's pretty simple to re-wrap drums with what you like though

No, the pics arent backwards, I am. A lefty.

Also, just set it up, so please excuse the brand tags still hanging from the drums. All the cymbals aren't up either.

The dimensions are: 22", 16",14",12",10",8" , PEARL chad Smith sig. snare, very dry n crisp, just the way I like it.

PEARL eliminators chain drive double pedals ( also use DW 5000s as backups )

Cymbals are:

13" A-CUSTOM hats, 20" K special dry ride, 16" A-CUSTOM fast crash, 14" A-CUSTOM fast crash, 17" PAISTE 2002 crash ride, 16" ZILDJIAN crash, 8" and 6" ZILDIJIAN splashes, 16" ZILDJIAN China Boy

Closing the show is the other love of my life, Leo!

Let me know what you all think

whatcha think,Clint?

Will update with all the cymbals soon

Just added a couple of neat splashes on the kit. Breaking away from the All Zildjian show, is a Paiste Twenty series 10" complex splash

and a Zildjian ACustom 8" splash.

( sorry, this is a 12'" SPLASH, will post pix on kit soon )

Adds nice color and definition.

Hey Frank!

These two add interesting color to the rest of my cymbal sound. The Paiste is a very complex, unusual but smooth splash.. or more like a very short crash. Its got an unlathed bell. The little ACustom is like half way between a bell and a splash.. very short, very sharp.

Sounds awsome. I should look into those Paiste splashes when I go to the store next time. It kind of looks like the Sabian HHX.

Do you have some video's of yourself playing by the way? I am very curious.

Nothing much Frank, except some shorts with a phone camera when I'm working on something

Thanks DMC. No sound files really except some short wanks with phone cameras on youtube.

These drums are really spectacular sounding, and believe me, I'm unbiased when I say that

PS_ Here's a little practice riff me and Sy and Brennan were working out in the studio:

...

Got some new heads.. coated- unusual for me.., and some awesome cymbals ( Zildjian K hybrids ) and an awesome camera ( Canon 5D )..

Heres a rough n ready test. Random drum noise but pretty good sound considering its not an 'audio mic', I thought.

Not sure if I like coated though...

That's a killer finish. I almost picked up a Beech Custom Absolute in the embossed green color, super nice. That's one of my few beefs with my Recording Custom, lack of finish options. I got a good one though. :)

Beautiful kit.

Almost missed this Abe.

Difficult to really appreciate the drum sound in all it's glory, but they sounded pretty damn lovely to me. I especially liked your bass drum & snare sound. Great video quality too. Does the camera have separate audio/mic inputs? I very much liked your cymbal sounds. Quite bright, yet musically so, & with good depth of tone beneath the attack. What really made me sit up though was your playing. You might only have been doodling, but man, that was a teasing glimpse into your world of quality sticksmanship. Your bass drum playing Abe, well, let's just say I'm jealous.

Left me aching to hear & see more :)

Thanks Andy. Thats a 5D Cannon, supposedly one of the best digtal cameras going thesedays, and its just the camera audio that you hear, nothing external.

The bass drum gets a lot of compliments live as well. Its a nice piece. Im actually really very thrilled with the shell construction of my MCANS. Its really hard to even want anything more, given how pleased I am. The snare is a gorgeous sweet and dry Sonor S Classix, birch/walnut 6 X 14. The cymbals are a mixed bag -The ride is a dry special K, an A custom, A paiste hybrid splash and a K constantinope..

the doodle was just playing around with doubles around the kit with different stickings. I've always had an inferiority complex about my footwork so have really put in a lot of work recently.
