Default My New OCDP Kit!

This is my new 5-piece OCDP. It's a neon green Venice series with an onyx finish. Working on getting some sound clips on this thing. They sound amazing!

Nice! Love that finish! How big is that bass drum? Can you actually get it into a door?
And my inevitable question: is OCDP back in business or are they still having troubles? Someone posted here some time ago about their inability to provide a custom ordered kit, he eventually got his money back. Any new news on the status of OCDP?

Yeah that kick is huge. it's a 20x22.

the shells are:

Toms 10, 12, 16
Snare 14
kick 22

I use paiste PST thin crash

for the toms i use Evans EC2 clear
Snare i use G2 coated
And EMAD 2 for the kick.

I'm not sure what the status is about custom kits. I wasn't even looking for this one when i went to the store but I saw it and played it and fell in love. I was also told that a few days befor i got it Thomas Pridgeon played it. that's a plus for me lol.

Dang that is a very nice kit, and VERY attractive finish.. To be honest, green is not one of my favorite colors, but this kit pulls it off and pulls it off with style.

Cant wait to hear it..

cheers

BOOOOOOM!!
Like the finish but your set up confuses me a little. I think it would work better with that second tom in a floor tom position. It just looks awkward to play but hey its your kit so do with it what you please.

I have actually moved the second tom. I just threw it together for the picture. i now have my ride in between the first and second tom sitting over the kick.

I like this kit, and the finish. I know there are a lot of haters on OCDP's non custom kits, but everyone i have played and checked out sounds and is built solid. congrats on the new kit!

I like the sharp "Boat Hull" lugs.
I also like the green wrap.

I was sorry to hear that OCDP is having troubles.

Nice kit! I played one of these the other day at Guitar Center, they are pretty impressive for the price. Nice finish too. Congrats.

I'm actually about to buy that exact kit! The stock heads aren't so good so I'm throwing Evans G1 for my resonant and EC2 for my batter. I'm using A Customs. The set sounds great! Orange County actually got bought out by guitar center so the quality dropped but they still sound great. I think I'm going to order another 14 for my floor Tom to make it a 6 piece

Those are awesome kits. I went to Guitar Center looking for a set to replace my old 1970's Ludwigs for gigging, Being a Travis Barker fan, I loved this kit when i saw it. I paid $600 for the shell pack. I use a Ludwig Supra-Phonic for the main snare and the OC snare as a side snare to the left of my Hihat. They sound amazing for an import kit. They don't get a lot of credit from most OCDP owners, But they're awesome. If anyone finds one of these kits used in a music store. GET IT. You won't regret it. They made add-on drums in this color too, but I haven't been able to find them anywhere.
