Saw this one this morning and couldn't pass up posting it.

Professional Snare Stand - $35 (Denver)

What I have is:
1 double braced well calabrated snare stand...............................For $35.00

I think I've found the problem with my snare sound. It's not the drum, or the tuning, or even the room. It's the stinkin' stands. I've never had any of mine calibrated. Since I bought most of them used, I'm certain they could all benefit from a re-calibration.

Do they offer this service at Guitar Center, or do I have to go to a specialty shop?

Maybe I'll just buy this one since it's already been calibrated. Might save me some money and time.

I had my sticks calibrated. They sound much better, the left one was way out of tune.

Pearl Drum Set - $495 (Storrs or Old Saybrook, CT)

This set was purchased new in 1996 when drums were made better than today. They have hardly been played, but have been kept in mint condition. The set is Pearl Export Series and has 7 pieces. Zildjian Scimitar Top HI Hat- 14" Sabian crash- 20"
Bass- 22" with attached... 2- Rack Tom Toms- 12" and 13" Floor Tom Tom- 16" Snare- 15" The hardware is all top quality. PLEASE INQUIRE!!

Did you know that Pearl made better drums in 1996 then they do today?

Dude, it's true. In fact they even made them better in 2003 than they do today. And actually last year's models are also golden.

And next year, this year's model will be far superior.

Just think, in five years, they'll be vantage.

I like the part about the splash being damaged because it is used all the time :)
I use my splash almost every time that I reach for a pie. Forget the crash, hats and rides, Its the splash for me.

Can always count on some good Craigslist humor on Sunday morning.

Ludwig Vintage 60's Drum Key - $29

Ludwig drum key from 1966 Kit.

Very Good condition, no issues, no rust, usable.

So for 30 dollars and a drive across town I can score a 46 year old working drum key that is in very good condition? What a bargain.

With one of those, I should be able to get rid of these other 10 keys that I got for free, right. This one is vintage after all.

I should call this and act seriouly interested in it. Ask him all kinds of probing questions about the quality of this key. Ask him to send me some more hi quality pics from different angles. Then tell him not to sell it to anybody else and as soon as I run by the ATM to get some more cash I am on the way.

That's normal, it's to hide the head of the left bass drum, it has no tape on it, you can't have that!!!! It would look awful in the picture. ;-))

I told my wife about all of the hilarious CL posts on many forums and she said "well maybe they spread that stuff out like that so you can see it better."

Non drummers just don't realize how silly it is.

...any idea what this is attached to the hi hat stand? Looks like a clamp with a small piece of pipe in it.

I'd say a single stick holder, but it's too high to get a stick in under the hat.

Hi hat battering ram? Maybe he practices in a bad area and added that so he could pick up his hi hat and defend himself.

***Like-New Drum Set! Make Offer!!!***

High hat with stand
16" cymbol w/ stand
20" cymbal without stand (NOT IN THE PICTURE, BUT INCLUDED!)
Snare drumb w/ 2 stands
Kick drumb
The brand for the cymbals are PROformance
etc... The picture tells all.

This drum set is in really good shape. No major scratches and rarely used (explains the dust). E-mail, call or text me for any more questions or concerns and to shoot me an offer. Serious offers only. Thanks.

That's an excellent point! Should inquire to find out because one runs the risk of tuning backwards.

No, I use something almost the same for my cowbell. I like the cowbell sticking out just under the hats on the right.
