Default Show us your.........Normal/Medium Kits!

Hi guys, I thought that as there is a Monster kit thread and a tiny kit thread, there should be a medium sized kit. 5 Piece, 4 Piece, 6 Piece. 2-6 cymbals?

Cheers
Pirooz

P.S There may already be a thread about this so feel free to delete if there is. :P

I never feel comfortable behind kits with more than three toms. I like 4-piece kits too, but 5-piece kits have always been where I'm most comfortable.

These pics are about a year old, but I'm using a similar setup these days.

15x16 floor tom
5x14 Stewart Copeland COB snare

Zildjian cymbals:

Sorry :)

Bought a kit recently, its a Tama Imperialstar, Just setting it up now, came with some rather bad Zild ZBT's but I'm trying to find a stockist of Wuhan cymbals in the UK. Anyone know of any?

I think I've finally found a set up that I'm really comfortable with. Still adding/tweaking some things on it, but the basic idea is there.

Wow, areFish (Ryan), I think we could switch kits and barely notice a difference. Especially when I add another crash to my right side as planned. There aren't too many drummers who mount a cymbal between the rack toms in a 2-up, 1-down set-up.

I've got the same LP cowbell (not pictured) too. The Yamaha three hole receiver makes it easy to add a cymbal in that spot. I don't put anything bigger than a 14" cymbal in that spot. Sometimes I setup in an offset configuration too. Have you tried that?

Actually, yes, I have tried that. It's a really flexible set-up.and I can play my small crash as a ride for a change-of-pace sound. You've got a great kit.
