Default Thumpy Tom heads?

I am hoping to find some thumpy tom heads. I don't like much ring either. Evans please, recommend some!

(PS: I love how Coated Heads look, but if they aren't the sound, then that's fine, I don't need for looks)

(also, remo pinstripes look good, but I am kinda evans guy)

Thank you!

If you like the minimalist amount of tone from your toms, maybe Evans Hydraulic batter heads might be what you're looking for. They have a very thin layer of oil between the two plies. You can still get tone out of them if they are tuned correctly, but for a common drum head, these are probably the deadest.. is that a word?

I don't want dead sounding heads, just thumpy. Which would be better Evans G2's or Evans EC2's?
