Default What am I supposed to do with this thing? Factory Metal Percussion

Picked this up second hand for a few coins. Gives a bunch of different sounds depending on how you mount it, but I'm wondering if there is a way that it is supposed to be mounted? It can fit together like pictured, upside down, or stacked

Sounds cool how I have it set up in the photo. But it gets in the way of my hi-hat and I would need to use two clutches to mount it properly, or get rid of my hi hats entirely and just use this thing in their place. I realise there is no top felt, I just set it up like that for the photo.

Could not find it on the company's website, or anywhere else online. It doesn't say what it's called, just has a Factory Metal Percussion sticker. It's 10" across. Anyone have ideas that won't cost the earth?

I believe its supposed to be mounted by itself as a crazy accent, or effects "cymbal" for some white noise...Its along the same lines as Sabian's Chopper effects without the extra disc in the middle....hope it helps, and you can find some way to mount/use it.

is it supposed to be like a ching-ring? i would mount it all the way at the top of the hi-hat post to give a little more room for playing. Pretty cool.
