Default Internal SubKick

Hey guys. I've been planning on building a SubKick for quite some time. Then yesterday I had to crazy idea to just turn my whole kick into a sub kick and mount the speaker cone inside the kick all together, rather than having a separate enclosure for the mic. Pros, I'm thinking it pick up the beater attack better, so maybe thats be the only mic I need. And the low end sustain will probably increase. Cons, real subkicks have mesh heads on front and back, maybe the real heads moving air back forth around the cone will make a weird sound. The beater attack may be too much for the cone and distort the sound or physically crack the cone.

I don't know I'm just speculating. It would be a cool idea though if it does what I want it to do. Any thoughts?..
