Default Anyone using the Taye Metalworks double pedal?

I've heard some good things about this pedal. Just wondering if anyone has used it or has feedback. I know it's a newer pedal, so just wondering.

Thanks!

Well the design is new but Taye had a Metalworks XP1 a few years ago that was the Best of Show at NAMM. I have one of those and love it. I have had no problems and it is adjustable in all four dimensions. Joking. If the new model is as ood as mine then it's a great product.

Yeah, I guess the newest model (Taye Drums TMW2010D Double Kick Pedal?) just came out last July. There aren't enough reviews on it yet. None of the larger chains carry it yet either...not that I'd jump on it at this time.

The video looks like a premier to a video game or movie. Don't know enough at this point...

I'm tying the Metalwoks single pedal, just seeing how it stacks up against the Trick, and it's very nice! There are a few cool adjustments, and for what looks like a standard pedal at first glance, the action is very quick, smooth, and even all the way through the stroke. Or not, if you don't like that kind of feel!

Street price on the single is around $169, which IMO makes it the best pedal for the money.

Thanks Bermuda,

The pricing on the double pedal looks fair @ $399. Definitely cheaper than the Pearl Demon Drive, Axis, DW 9000 (and the Trick - of course).

I'm not sure about placing it in that category though, without any more reviews.

If the double is as smooth as the single, it's also the best deal going.

BTW, my trial of the single went well, and I am now endorsing it!

I could never get an answer as to why the original Metalworks was discontinued after about one year. But I am keeping mine.
